4s lost 2-1 away to Newbury. Goal from Cam from a short corner.
The last game of 2013 was away to West Hampstead Ladies 6s, a very hard fought, end to end first half ended goalless. The half time talk from Dawn Whitmore saw immediate results in the second half with a quick goal by Michelle Coupar followed shortly afterwards with her second, Michelle then crossed a great ball across the goal mouth allowing Ishani Welmillage an easy tap in for the third. OMTs final goal came from a short corner and the taker Nina Haydon-Guppy got onto the front post for a great set piece. The only other goal was by Louise Hawkins unfortunately in the wrong net, final score 4-1 to the duzchesses. No players player this week as for Christmas everyone gets the award.
1XI 1 - Chiswick 0! Great team performance today from the first team boys. A hard fought 3 points that were thoroughly deserved by the effort put in by everyone. A really solid team performance. That said, there were a few nervy moments in the final 10 minutes. Great work from the lads who are all up for the local derby game next week.

OMT2 2 - 4 Oxford 3. A strong showing from OMT away from home against a useful Oxford side ultimately ended in defeat. OMT started in blistering fashion a fast attack down the right eventually being pulled back for Goldy to slot past the keeper's despairing dive. Oxford countered and at half time the teams were locked at 1-1. OMT sensed a famous win but these hopes were knocked straight after the break as Oxford took a fortuitous lead. Undeterred OMT came back strongly and Ash got a deflection under the keeper's foot. From the way he celebrated you would have thought he'd stuck a reverse hit from the edge of the 'D' in the top corner. The last twenty minutes saw breathless end to end hockey in which either side could have scored. Although Jamie pulled out some top saves it was the Oxford shots which ultimately found the target and they ran out eventual winners. There are many positives to take into next week and ensure OMT finish this half on a high.

Omt2 1-1 Banbury. An open game against a plucky opposition saw OMT take the lead through a warren short corner. Failing to capitalise on this strong start resulted in the home side going behind ten minutes later through a deft reverse stick finish into the roof of the net. At half time OMT regrouped and went out again determined to put words into action. The second half saw numerous chances created at both ends but neither side was able to convert pressure into scores. There were plenty of good passages of play but ultimately a draw was a fair reflection of the game. We move onto Oxford next week with plenty of positives to take.
3-1 Henley. Cameron Murray the scorer
